CNC Turning Capacity
The CNC turning at PTG offers customers a wide-ranging facilities from relatively small components to large CNC turning. The section is extensively equipped and includes several 2-axis semi CNC lathes with programmed conversational style controls. This allows capability of full CNC quality machining on small batches and prototypes within a fast time-scale. The CNC turning section also has 4-axis machines with driven tooling, including Y-axis capability for production of 'one-hit' components, as well as a range of modern 2- and 3-axis machines for medium and large conventional CNC turning.
Precision / Toolroom Milling
The toolroom milling section of PTG has been extensively upgraded in recent years and now has a comprehensive range of both 2- and 3-axis conversational style controlled machines of various sizes. This allows machining of small batch work, prototyping, and high-precision components as well as conventional close-tolerance milling. The section is fully-equipped with all types of accessory including 4th-axis machining.

Production Control System
The introdution of the latest version of the well-proven JobBoss production control system ensures that PTG has full control of all shop-floor functions on a near paperless system. The day-to-day data concerning shop-floor operations is collected on a bar-code reader and provides live information of all works orders issued. Scheduling and sectio capacity is easily monitored and provides PTG management with the ability to forecase deliveries and re-route works orders if required. This system also allows us to react quickly to bottlenecks and unexpected orders with knowledge of the exact effect on production schedule.
